How many calories do you think this would burn?

This is a great 5 minute workout I like this a lot. I would like to add my comments re the nodding of the chin, if you exaggerate the nod then yes, this becomes to much strain, a slight nod helps to put the neck in alignment.

@TheVirtualObservist having the neck straight would actually put more stress on the neck in that position. The head tuck should be a gentle one.' Imagine holding a ripe tomato there' is what my instructor suggests !

@jubejube90 These exercises will build the muscles and make them tight but you have to add cardio in order to lose extra fat. That way the fat doesn't hid the muscles underneath. I have a strong core, but I still need to get more cardio in so I can't see my 6 pack but it's there underneath. I can feel it underneath which is why I need to amp up the cardio. :) lol

@Firecracker1314 you have to pull in your stomach muscles from the rib cage all the way down to the pelvic floor and hold it tight as you do these exercises. Also, don't let your pelvis tilt up.It should be neutral against the floor. Same with the ribs since ribs have a tendency to pop up. Instead, even if it feels unnatural at first, draw the ribs down towards the floor. Holding all of this together with ease will take time but it will get easier. It's all about thinking about the muscle hold. |
